Established in 1991, Green Envy was the first a cappella group to bring this unique musical genre to Tulane's campus as an entirely student run organization. Tulane's premiere a cappella group is comprised of sixteen students from across the country who find common ground in the music they perform on campus, on tour, and in the greater New Orleans area. Many of Green Envy's arrangements are crafted by the members themselves, and cover a broad range of styles such pop, indie-rock, alternative, country, and R&B.
Aside from their winter and spring concerts, Green Envy has had the honor of performing at a number of prestigious events, however they find joy and gratitude in every single one of their performance opportunities. Some of their most notable performance experiences include:
Lousiana Derby Days
Crescent City Classic
2016 Tour Across the Southeastern U.S.
