Green Envy is Tulane's original a cappella group.
Currently comprised of 18 students from across the country and representing diverse aspects of life at Tulane, Green Envy is co-ed and completely student run. We are a group of people that simply come together two times a week for the love of music and performing.
We have released two professionally recorded CDs and are weeks away from releasing an EP album of un-edited, raw tracks that we have recorded this semester. We also occassionally go on tours to bring our music to other schools and communities across the country. In 2011, we traveled to Atlanta, GA and spent the weekend performing with the incredibly talented a cappella groups at Georgia Tech. In 2009, we toured all the way up the East Coast and back, stopping at UNC Chapel Hill, American University, George Washington University and James Madison University.
We pride ourselves on how talented our members are, almost all of our songs are arranged by our members and we only outsource songs if we have a very specific vision in mind. The music we perform covers many genres, so you are sure to find something that you like!
